\"\"Shirodhara is a classic Ayurvedic therapy in which warm herbal oil or an herbal decoction or milk cooked in herbs or buttermilk mixed with herbal decoctions is poured on the forehead in a continuous stream.<\/p>\n

The word Shirodhara is derived from two Sanskrit words, Shiro means head<\/em> and dhara means stream<\/em>.<\/p>\n

This treatment has a great effect on the nervous system.<\/p>\n

With this treatment, the mind and nerves feel relaxed, calm, and cleansed.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

According to Ayurveda, Shirodhara is beneficial for vata and pitta dosha. When there is an imbalance in doshas, Vata dosha exhibits features like fear, insecurity, and anxiety. Migraine with symptoms of excessive Vata.<\/p>\n

Pitta dosha exhibits features like anger, irritability, frustration, judgment, excessive heat, and migraines symptoms of excessive heat.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Unbalanced doshas are countered and balanced due to the qualities of the liquid used in Shirodhara.<\/p>\n

It soothes, nourishes, and pacifies doshas by application of liquid to the forehead, scalp, and nervous system.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Due to variations in liquids, Shirodhara is of various types.<\/p>\n
